Nathan Beeler is a music educator, conductor and performer from Nova Scotia. He is currently the department head of the Halifax All City Music Program, and conducts the Halifax City Schools Orchestra. In 2010, Nathan was a recipient of the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence, honouring educators from across Canada.
Nathan holds an undergraduate degree in music education from Acadia University, and a Masters degree in conducting from the University of Manitoba. While in Manitoba, he studied conducting with Earl Stafford, former music director of Canadas Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
Nathan is a very active conductor in Nova Scotia. He has in the past been principal conductor of both Scotia Brass and the Dalhousie Wind Ensemble. He has also conducted the Chebucto Symphony Orchestra. This is his third appearance with Nova Sinfonia as a guest conductor.
