Timi Levy, Violin

Timi Levy is originally from Budapest, Hungary. Ms. Levy won a scholarship to The Banff Centre of the Arts in 1998. Ms. Levy holds a Hungarian States Examination - Master’s equivalence- qualified artist, chamber and violin musician/instructor and fiddle player. Prior to moving to Parrsboro, NS in 2007 Ms. Levy lived in Calgary, AB where she performed with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Sarah Brightman, Tea Party, National Ballet as well as the Alberta Ballet. Ms. Levy has taught at Mount Royal College and privately. Ms. Levy currently teaches in Parrsboro, Amherst, Oxford and surrounding areas. Ms. Levy has been regularly performing with the New Brunswick Symphony Orchestra, PEI Symhony Orchestra and Nova Sinfonia where she had been the concertmaster for a couple of years. Ms. Levy and Tim Blackmore — Eszterházi Duo — regularly performs in Saint John and Moncton. Ms. Levy has been principal organizer and performer for Classics by the Bay music festival in Parrsboro since 2008.
